If I’m being honest I do not garden. I like the idea of gardening. I like the metaphor of gardening. I even enjoy looking at pictures of gardens. And really, nothing tastes better than fresh vegetables.
But I just don’t garden.
I encourage people to garden. And I encourage them to invite me over to admire their garden. I shake my fist at the groundhogs and deer as though they were nibbling bits of my soul when in actuality they are laying waste to your fine beets and lettuce. In fact, I’ve even sipped mimosas from inside of a garden on a lovely summer afternoon.
We helped one of our very favorite customers build this garden enclosure. We helped figure out design, cut the boards to size, helped with assembly. Then we had mimosas!!
I advise you to build a simple fence. And I encourage you to purchase a cedar trellis to support the beans that I will gladly sample. And I marvel at your creations then ask if I could snap a few pics for Instagram. You of course say yes.
But I just don’t garden.
